Cultures of countries such as SriLanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives and Bangladesh share a similar heritage yet are very different and individualistic. While Bhutan and Sri Lanka are predominantly Buddhist, Nepal is a Hindu nation, while Bangladesh and Maldives, Muslim. Yet trade, culture and people-to-people interaction makes travel within these countries a breeze. However the topography changes very drastically.  While Sri Lanka and Maldives are islands and blessed with sunshine and tropical weather, Nepal and Bhutan are nestled in the lap of Himalayas and forests and are totally land-locked. Many travellers from across the world travel to India as well as one of these countries to get a true sense of South Asia.
